Statistical modeling for land surface temperature in Borneo island from 2000 to 2019

Increased temperature is one of the signals global warming. Trends in land surface can be used to measure climate change. This research aimed investigate variation Borneo island using a cubic spline method and multivariate regression model. The was divided into 8 regions each comprising 9 subregions. Land temperatures for subregion from 2000 2019 were obtained National Aeronautics Space Administration Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer database. average increase 0.2 °C/decade with 95% confidence interval (0.14, 0.27) °C. changes differed by region; significant seen Sarawak, North Kalimantan, West West-central Central-east Kalimantan slight decrease Sabah Brunei Darussalam (Sabah Brunei) East Kalimantan; stable trend South Kalimantan.
